How to install IPSW firmware on your MacBook Pro (14-inch, M5)

To restore your device using an IPSW file, you will need a computer (Mac or PC) and the latest version of Finder (on macOS Catalina or later) or iTunes.

Step-by-step Guide:

  1. Download the firmware: Select the correct iOS/macOS version from the table above. Make sure it is still Signed (highlighted in green), otherwise Apple will refuse the installation.
  2. Connect your device: Use a high-quality USB cable to connect your MacBook Pro (14-inch, M5) to your computer.
  3. Select your device: In Finder or iTunes, locate and select your device from the sidebar.
  4. Perform the restore:
    • On Mac: Hold the Option (⌥) key and click the "Restore" button.
