How to install IPSW firmware on your HomePod mini
To restore your device using an IPSW file, you will need a computer (Mac or PC) and the latest version of Finder (on macOS Catalina or later) or iTunes.
Step-by-step Guide:
- Download the firmware: Select the correct iOS/macOS version from the table above. Make sure it is still Signed (highlighted in green), otherwise Apple will refuse the installation.
- Connect your device: Use a high-quality USB cable to connect your HomePod mini to your computer.
- Select your device: In Finder or iTunes, locate and select your device from the sidebar.
- Perform the restore:
- On Mac: Hold the Option (⌥) key and click the "Restore" button.
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key and click the "Restore" button.
- Choose the file: Select the IPSW file you just downloaded from IPSW.im and click Open.
